The Story Behind the Exchange

The ASPIRE Partners’ Exchange marks the closing of a journey shaped by learning, connection, and transformation. It brings together the people at the heart of the programme teachers, parents, young people, researchers, and partners to reflect on what has been built together and what continues beyond it.

At its core, this event is about stories. Stories of individuals who have embraced Peace and Values Education and carried it into their classrooms, families, communities, and work, creating spaces of understanding, resilience, and hope. Through these lived experiences, the event highlights how meaningful change happens: not only through knowledge, but through human connection, dialogue, and a shared commitment to a more peaceful society.

The Partners’ Exchange is also a space for listening and learning from one another, recognising the collective effort behind the ASPIRE Programme and the partnerships that have made it possible.

As the programme comes to a close, this moment is not an end, but a continuation an invitation to carry forward the values, relationships, and practices that have been nurtured, and to keep building a future grounded in empathy, dignity, and peace.

Exhibition: Stories of Change

At the heart of the ASPIRE Programme are people and the changes they create.

This exhibition presents six powerful stories from teachers, parents, young people, and researchers who have translated knowledge from the Peace and Values Education (PVE) and research programmes into real action. From classrooms to communities, these individuals have applied what they learned to influence behaviour, support others, and inspire positive change.

It also includes a powerful story from Radio La Benevolencija, highlighting the role of Musekeweya radio soap in promoting dialogue, empathy, and social cohesion.

Their stories show how education goes beyond knowledge, shaping attitudes, strengthening relationships, and fostering responsibility. They highlight tangible impact in the lives of students, families, and communities, while contributing to national priorities in memory preservation and peacebuilding.

Tools Supporting the Journey

From Rwanda to the World

In the journey of memory preservation and Peace and Values Education, digital tools have played a key supporting role.

They enable educators, young people, and practitioners to access knowledge, learn from the work of Aegis Trust, and explore the lessons and achievements of the ASPIRE Programme.

By sharing real experiences, these tools inspire individuals and communities both in Rwanda and globally to apply these lessons in their own contexts.

Supporting learning, inspiring action, and extending impact beyond borders.
